Sheila Gutterman is a preeminent, award winning family law practitioner who is a litigator, mediator, educator, author and the mother of “Collaborative Law” in Colorado. She co-founded Gutterman Griffiths and served as President of the firm until 2014. Sheila continues to provide outstanding legal counsel and representation to individuals in family crises.

Sheila’s expertise lies in blending her legal and psychological skills to assist clients in determining which process is best suited to their individual needs. Sheila has consistently been honored for her experience, commitment to clients, compassion, legal acumen, commitment to the community and skills as an experienced family law educator.

Sheila has chaired numerous task forces, committees and organizations including the Colorado Bar Association Family Law section; the Metro Denver Barristers Benefit Ball which provides pro bono services in Colorado and the Colorado Judicial Institute. Her distinctions are numerous including the highest ranking for lawyers; lifetime achievement awards and the Athena Award given by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce for her leadership role in her profession and in the community.
